Started building 16 Alpha in early 2022 to create a fully systematic, rule-based investment platform for Indian equities.
By April 2023, the proprietary 16-metric algorithm was ready, ranking all listed companies in real time using fundamental data.
Launched first live portfolio on July 1, 2023 using personal capital. Delivered a 69.46% return over the first 12 months.
Received SEBI Category III AIF license in September 2024, validating the fund’s structure and enabling outside investor participation.
February 25, 2025 marked the only discretionary call; outside investor capital deployed. All future decisions are fully systematic and automated.
Since launch, 16 Alpha has delivered strong early returns, outperforming Indian indices while maintaining lower volatility and drawdowns over its first few months with outside capital.
